Reach & Turn, course on Science Communication and Scientific Journalism, is an initiative of the City of Knowledge Foundation in conjunction with the United Nations University Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology, the National Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT), the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Federation of Science Journalists.
This course is aimed at journalists, scientists, science professionals and social communicators who are interested in the dissemination of science. It will open the opportunity for people to learn the role of the communication of science in cultural and practical areas, and will provide resources on scientific communication at a global level. It will also seek to provide scientists and communicators with the resources for effective communication and understanding of scientific documents. It will also provide journalists with a better understanding of how science is done.
