RET International Country Office in Belize, an NGO committed to assisting communities with the educational needs, in the broadest sense, of young people made vulnerable by displacement, violence, armed conflict and disasters, is looking for:


Duties:The Livelihoods Project Officer will lead in this regard, generating employment opportunities and supporting young people to gain skills to sustain their employment. The Livelihoods Project Officer will lead in effective implementation of livelihoods activities, focusing on design and quality control during implementation of the program, as well as on reporting for the achievement of operational goals. The Livelihoods Project Officer will report to the National Programme Coordinator.

Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Social sciences or related socio-economic field. Experience in the implementation of projects focused on the socio-economic integration of disadvantaged population, with focus on youths; Knowledge of and experience with the Labour Laws of Belize and the main challenges for youth employment and self-employment; Experience in intercultural work. Languages: English (native) and working knowledge of Spanish. Personal References: at least three (mandatory references).
