INDIVIDUAL CONTRACTOR ANNOUNCEMENT # PAN 18-IC-001

Technical assistance for the implementation of UNICEF Panama Country Programme 2016-2020 in the education area.

PURPOSE

Under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator, the Education Consultant will provide technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education sector within the Country Programme. His or her tasks will facilitate programme development, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting

Requirements

Education:

•Advanced University Degree or equivalent experience in education, psychology, sociology, economics, political sciences or other social science relevant to the education and/or development field(s) is required.

Working Experience:

•A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in development planning and management in the education sector and related areas in a developing country is required.

•Relevant experience in Early Childhood Development, quality of education, and/or intercultural bilingual education is required.

•Programme/ policy development and management in a UN agency or organization is an asset.

Language:

•Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

•Knowledge of an indigenous language from Panama is an asset.
